The first time I saw the vanishing card box was a very long time ago, before it became common. I think it was at an International Magic Convention in London. I have two versions. One was made of wood and the other made of black plastic. Not sure which came first.
There have been many versions and variations released in the past, but I think this new one using a card guard instead of a box is the most interesting. Especially for those who are familiar with card guards, but it might be even more interesting if you begin by explaining what a card guard is.
Wanted to also remind you that the introductory price for my I Lose It, You Find It download expires on Tuesday.
►Vanishing Card Case:
This is a reimagining of the vanishing card case. Instead of using an unrelated box, it uses a logical card clip that magicians generally use to keep their cards flat. The prop can be used for vanishes, transformations, and teleportations. It is an ideal quick opener for a formal card act.
A detailed effect description: You take a deck of cards out of your pocket and show that it is encased in a sturdy clip to keep them protected. You take the box out of the clip. The cards are placed back in the guard, and when it is shown again, the cards have completely vanished. You can then remove a deck of cards from wherever you wanted them to reappear from and do some of your favorite card routines.

►I Lose It, You Find It:
This is a multiphase impromptu card routine Meir has been performing and refining for many years.
You begin by having your friends name any picture card and color (free choice). Let’s say they name the two red Queens. You remove the two Queens from the deck and place them on the table back-to-back. A card this then freely selected (and signed, if you like) and placed between the two Queens. The three-card packet is then placed between your palms and when you let the Queens flutter to the table everyone is surprised to see that the selected card vanished.
You let your friends help you find the card by losing one face up Queen into the center of the deck and letting them cut the second Queen anywhere they like.
When the deck is now spread face down the two Queens are seen to have moved next to each other with one face down card between them… It is the selection… everything can be examined.
