As most of you know I have an affinity towards gambling themed routines and card productions. It is as close as a close-up magician can get to show off their skill and be appreciated for the difficulty of what they are supposed to be doing.
A juggler displays their skills, while we for the most part hide our skills to create magical moments. Sometimes it is nice to be appreciated for the work we do behind the scenes.
Martin Braessas’ Easy Aces allows you to do just that with almost no effort. The bonus routine using a regular deck is something you will use often. Both routines use gimmicks or methods you are most likely familiar with. But what Martin added to the handling and presentation is priceless.
►Easy Aces:
The basic routine starts out by having the spectator shuffle a deck of cards face-up and face down. You then use the messed-up deck to cut to three of the Aces. As a kicker ending the rest of the cards are spread on the table to show that they magically straightened themselves out and are now all face down… Except for the final fourth Ace.
Easy Aces comes with a specially gaffed deck of Bicycle Poker Size cards that allow you to perform this routine with almost no skill. The video tutorial includes an excellent self-working four card production.

►Astro Gem Flight:
This is an original, collectible, trick from 1977 that has been in storage for more than 40 years.
It is a simple and direct routine using a plastic die with different colored gems on all six sides that is handed for examination and then placed in your fist. You then introduce a plastic magic wand which you wave over your fist. All of a sudden, all six gems appear on the wand and when you open your fist the original die is now blank and is missing all the gems. Everything is examinable.

►Die-Cipher II:
This is Chazpro’s improved version of Mental Die or Die-Cipher, which unlike the previous versions, allows you to divine the exact number the spectator is thinking of instead of narrowing it down to two and having to guess.
The basic effect uses three objects that are made of solid brass. A cylindrical case with a base and lid, and a die that is also made of brass.
The spectator thinks of one of the numbers on the die and seals it inside the canister with their number facing up. After they hand you the canister you will be able to immediately know which number they are thinking of.
