Had a great time in Philadelphia last weekend and I appreciate the few magicians that made the trip to the show. Both shows got very close to selling out and the Saturday night show got a standing ovation. Marty and Danny’s Smoke & Mirror’s theater is a pleasure to work for since they go out of their way to make you comfortable and be your best. They just celebrated their second anniversary. Which is a big deal in this business.
Marc Salem and I will be presenting our Mind Games Reloaded show two more times in September. On the 20th we will be at the Turning Point in New York and on the 22nd we will be at the Parlor Of Mystery on Long Island. Ticket info can be found below.
NYCAN 1990:
This week’s digital download is a two-hour video that features highlights from the 1990 NYCAN Convention that was held in Toronto on Oct. 4-6. It was produced by David Ben and was dedicated to and thrown in honor of Stewart James.
It featured an all star cast of performers and lecturers that included: Gaetan Bloom, John Carney, James Cielen, Tommy Edwards, Jeff Evanson & Tessa, Rudy Hunter, Gary Kurtz, Jay Marshall, David Merry, Howie Schwarzman, David Williamson, and many others.
The highlights of the highlights for me were David Williamson with his magic and insanity (I think there is around 30+ minutes of David) and watching Jay Marshall do his trademark routines. Another cool aspect of the video is spotting all of our friends when they were young with their wild hairdos and clothing.

Devil Head Lapel Pin:
The Devil or Imp head has long been associated with the Macabre and with our art/hobby.
With the popularity of the Question Mark Lapel pin Rich Miccuci, who makes them in New Jersey, convinced me to offer you what we are calling the Devil Head Lapel Pin.
Last month at the Magic Live convention I was wearing (modeling) them on my shirt collar, so they are not just for jackets.
Take a look and buy: HERE.
Morgan Dollar & Jerry’s Nugget:
One of the popular gaffed coins sets that Ted Bogusta has been making for us is his Scotch & Soda routine using real Morgan Dollars and the Jerry’s Nugget Gambling Token.
I am often asked about when he will make more of them. A few days ago he surprised me with two more sets.
