The following are the written instructions that The Amazing Kreskin included with his gold KEY to attendees of his positive thinking and problem-solving seminars. These private seminars were very popular and were mostly offered to his corporate clients. The use of the KEY and the advice below can truly make a difference in your life as it had for many of the people who still use the system.
Kreskin’s KEY to the Unconscious

Use of this KEY has been a principle that I have employed for almost 55 years in seminars with private groups seeking methods of tapping into their inner mind and getting a second opinion on issues, an opinion that could come forward from the unconscious mind.
Whether you have a problem, an issue, a situation that you cannot seem to solve at work or personally, sum it up in one, two or three words that crystallizes what you’re searching or seeking to create within you.
Perhaps it’s:
A) a feeling of greater cheerfulness and positiveness or
B) letting the irritations and annoyances of work “float off me like water off a duck’s back” or
C) general well being, “day by day in every way I’m getting better and better” or
D) desire to become “more deeply engrossed in my studies” or
E) answer to a problem at work or privately, or
F) recalling more clearly past memories
Encompass the issue or problem that you’re seeking to address in one, two, or three words and write them on a card. It could even be one word, and when you see that word you’ll know what you’re seeking or what it means.
Sit alone quietly for 4 or 5 minutes, allowing yourself to become passive by relaxing and thinking of a peaceful scene, either around you as you sit in a quiet room or a quiet porch looking at the sky, or in your imagination where you picture a place surrounded by quiet beauty, or hear the softness of the ocean in your mind, or the movement of trees. You just think about it, no concentration, and relax. Simply start to think of the dynamic suggestion or the phrase that encompasses what you are seeking to accomplish. Don’t concentrate on it, just reflect upon it.
During this entire procedure, have the KEY resting in your hand, not clenched but held in a relaxed way, perhaps with your palm up in your lap. You need not concentrate on the KEY, just think of the words or phrase that you want to project deeper in your unconscious. Do this only for a minute or two. That’s it.
This KEY is going to be a special Kreskin Touch, if you will, and it’s the KEY to your unconscious, because you carry this with you wherever you go quietly, unnoticed.
At the most unexpected times, you can reach into your pocket or purse and have the KEY in your fist unseen by anyone else. You don’t have to even think about it. What it means will deal with the thought on that card, because you read the words on the card when you held the KEY in your hand when you practiced the quiet, contemplative exercise. You wrote the words on a card, looked at it, and then with the KEY in your hand, you practiced that quiet, reflective exercise. So now whenever you hold that KEY, it will trigger off thoughts in your unconscious. You might do this for 30 seconds a couple of times a day, or while you’re waiting for a traffic light, while you stop at a corner walking down the street, while you’re moseying through a store, while you’re waiting for your lunch to be delivered. Just hold it in your hand for 30 seconds or so when you get up in the morning and also when you are about ready to end the day and you’re getting ready for bed. Just for a few seconds. You don’t have to be sitting, you could be standing, you could be walking. Then put it away or back in your pocket.
That KEY, for it to have the impact psychologically, should never be handled by anyone else. It should never be given to anyone else to use.
It is yours for your own private self, and if you think of it that way and use it that way, you’ll find that if you assign a certain thought to it over a period of time, whether it’s a few hours, a few days, weeks, or months, you’ll get results, but not necessarily overnight. Then be prepared to turn to another issue. Use it only for one problem or aim at a time and let it do its duties over the days and months. It’s allowing your unconscious to come through. Sometimes for a second opinion, or just to build on an aim you have within yourself.
An example: if you’re trying to recall details of something in your past, you may find oddly enough when you’re holding the KEY in your hand preoccupied with something else that details may suddenly flood into your mind. That’s the way this KEY triggers unconscious details.
Indeed, the KEY is not only a reinforcer, but an unconscious reminder.
