Before I ever heard of David Roth’s Flurry I used to do a one-coin routine with a Jumbo coin ending to close my restaurant sets. My friend Flaco taught me his routine which I added some other sequences to. I used to start by borrowing a bill, producing a coin from it, doing some sequences with it and end with a Jumbo coin production that I slammed on the table.
This would accomplish several things. Get a borrowed, crumpled bill on the table for a possible tip and the loud sound of the coin hitting the table would get a great reaction and call attention to me as a magician to the rest of the people at the venue.
I started out producing three-inch coins, then I upgraded to five-inch coins, which would both fit in my back pocket. When David saw me do the routine he recommended I use silver coins that I could buy from the US Mint. I bought a few Dollar sized coins and the one pound three-inch coin. Spent a couple of hundred dollars on them and used them for years. Just checked the current price and that three-inch coin is now worth a thousand dollars!

►Flurry:
This was David Roth’s go to routine when doing walkaround gigs. It is a one-coin routine which ends with a surprise appearance of a Jumbo coin.
Although the routine is flexible and can be modified with whatever techniques you are comfortable with, the structure should remain the same.
David performs and teaches the sequences he prefers which begin with the introduction of a coin that vanishes from his hand and appears under his lapel, he touches it to one elbow and it jumps to the other elbow, when he puts it back into the elbow it jumps to the other lapel, it then jumps from one hand to the other, and as the coin continues to vanish and appear from thin air it ends by changing into a coin that appears to be twenty times larger.

►Bacon Jumbo Coins:
These are likely the best Jumbo coins that are available. They have nothing to do with bacon or food… that is just the company that made them.
They are made of heavy metal and the engraving is excellent. It looks like the real thing… except for the size!
Available as 5” and 3” Half Dollars, and a 3” English Penny. You should also be aware that they misspelled LIBERTY on the half-dollars.

A Precision Penetration Puzzle that is made of stainless steel. Self-working and can be done surrounded.
You begin with a twelve-piece puzzle that is made of heavy half-inch, stainless-steel pieces. You and your friend assemble the pieces into a solid, impenetrable block that is around the size of a deck of cards.
The block is slid into an examinable heavy-plastic case that has a slit running through it. You then insert a playing card right through the slit and the stainless-steel block that was just built. The card is moved around and even inserted lengthwise! Once your friend removes the card from the block the puzzle is removed from its case and all the pieces are separated showing the impossibility that was just created.
