David Solomon (1944-2025) was one of the last remaining members of the original weekly Chicago Magic Roundtable where Edward Marlo held court. Throughout those years and for many years after Marlo’s passing David continued to create, share, publish, and market his card magic.
I first met David around the early 1980s. His card magic was always clever, easy to follow and relatively simple to learn. Back then he would invite 2-3 magicians he trusted to his hotel room and show us hours of material that he was working on. It was so much stuff that I don’t remember a thing, except for his pure and contagious enthusiasm for everything he did. That enthusiasm for card magic continued throughout his life.
In 2001 David allowed me to release his outstanding packet trick that we called Four Flusher. It was a big hit and was one of the first packet tricks I had the USPC print for me. You can watch the demo: HERE
Recently after his passing I was able to acquire the rights to all his magic and the remaining inventory of his books, products, and lecture notes.
A truck full of magic arrived a few days ago and I am still sorting through everything, many of the items, especially the different sets of lecture notes, I never knew existed.
Below you will find three of his books. Two of them are almost sold-out.
►Solomon’s Mind:
Subtitled as “The Card Mysteries Of David Solomon” the book features more than forty of his original card routines along with novel handlings and ideas that you will be able to apply to other card effects in your repertoire.
David was one of the longtime members of Chicago’s Magic Round Table during the time Edward Marlo held court. David spent untold hours watching and helping Marlo create card effects. He was instrumental in publishing the Marlo Magazines, and as an added feature, this book includes several fascinating conversations between David and Eugene Burger about those stormy and controversial years!

►Time Warp Wallet Book:
This book was originally printed to accompany David Solomon’s Time Warp Wallet that was a very limited release that sold-out very fast.
After being out of stock for many years David sold the manufacturing rights to a company in China who released an excellent quality version with a video tutorial that includes all the tricks in the book. However, the book does contain more details and credits, and if you already own the wallet, you should get this as well.

►Time Warp Wallet:
David Solomon’s Time Warp Wallet has been off the market for many years. It accomplishes an impossible card routine that no other wallet can.
The main routine has you name your favorite card and your friend name any other card. Your card is lost anywhere in the deck as you attempt to cut to it. You cut to a card which you claim is your favorite, place it in the wallet as you remove some money. You then offer your friend the opportunity to win the money if they can cut to their card. Of course, they can’t, and you then explain why. When the wallet is opened you show that the card you placed inside was your favorite card and the card that was behind a clear window the entire time was their freely named card.

►WOW 7: Kreskin Edition:
This is a very limited The Amazing Kreskin Edition that includes two books from his personal inventory.
It is an ideal way to present a mentalism routine while discussing the most famous mentalist in history and justifying the use of the two hardcover books.
You can read the spectator’s mind and write down the word they are thinking of. Ask them to yell out the word they are thinking of, then show the audience the word you wrote. They match.
But it is not over yet. As an afterthought have the spectator think of the last word on that page. You can now proceed to dramatically spell out the thought of word for a double miracle.
