During the 1990s when I had a booth at 20-30 conventions per year, one of the items I sold hundreds of was Tarbell’s Devil’s Deck (Tarbell Vol. 8). It was an edge marked deck where you could tell where every card was, and you could immediately find it using a simple shuffle and cut.
It was a very easy sale since I got very good at performing impossible tricks with it and was fooling everyone with it. Even magicians who were familiar with the secret.
The cards were all hand-marked and were very time-consuming to make. Since then, there have been several attempts at replicating it using specially designed and printed decks.
The one that is by far the best is Ondrej Psenicka’s Butterfly Decks. He has taken the original system and supercharged it with many new features that allow you to do some remarkable things. My favorite is the new purple edition and that is why I decided to offer it to you.
►Royal Purple Marked Butterfly Playing Cards:
This is a Royal Purple edition of the popular Butterfly Playing Cards created by Ondrej Psenicka and designed by Stefan Eriksson.
Hidden within the design are clever markings that allow you to perform powerful effects that will have your audience believing that you possess magic powers and expert card skills. You can locate any card by looking at the edges of the deck, you can tell which cards are missing, and identify turned cards.

I preciously wrote about how much I like the Deadly Marked decks that are the only ones whose marks can be felt instead of seen. I just received some red Bee backs to go along with the Red Bicycle backs. To read what I originally wrote about them go: HERE
►Deadly Marked Deck:
A new type of marked cards. Although it is almost impossible to see the markings, you can feel for them. It works like brail or peg work but is lightyears ahead of those systems since the tactile aspect is being applied using special ink and a printing press.
Every card is marked for value and suit. By rubbing your thumb across the back of the card you will be able to deduce its exact identity.

►Sweet Prediction Update:
While performing in Spinnato’s Comedy Magic Show last weekend I convinced him to tip his work on the Sweet Prediction routine, which is completely different from the original and is performed on stage, so we recorded a tutorial that is now included with every purchase (you can find it using the same link). You can watch his performance: HERE
While I was doing that, Ted Bogusta convinced John Stessel to perform and talk about it, for you as well. Watch: HERE
►Sweet Prediction:
The basic routine begins with you explaining that this is a magic trick, a prediction, and a game.
You borrow a quarter (or similar sized coin). Have the spectator remember the date and initial it.
You then place the coin inside an envelope and keep it in full view as you introduce a paper bag that you explain contains the prize if your prediction is wrong.
You then open the bag and remove a jar full of candy (or anything you like). You explain that the jar also contains the prediction of the coin’s date and if your prediction is wrong, they get to keep all the candy.
The spectator opens the jar and pulls a ribbon out from the bottom of the jar and on the end of the ribbon is a clip with a coin attached to it. You explain that the date on the coin should match the date they are thinking of… which it does.
But here is the unexpected shocker. When they turn over the coin, they see their initials on it.

►Marvelous Nesting Envelopes:
This is a very easy, no palm, no sleight, method of doing a signed card or prediction to a nest of envelopes that are on display the entire time.
Using the Mullica Wallet system, a playing card or prediction can be secretly and simply inserted inside this triple secured, impossible location, that has been held by the spectator from the beginning.
A locked red envelope is opened. Inside is a smaller black envelope. Inside this envelope is a sealed white envelope. Inside this envelope… paper clipped to your business card!… is the signed selected card. The outer red envelope is small enough to fit into your jacket pocket.

►OUR LATEST RELEASE:
►Quadruple Spellbound:
Originally created in the 1970s and first published in the 1980s, this was one of Simon Aronson’s favorite routines, that he always carried with him and performed often.
The basic effect: You show an American half dollar. You wave your hand over it, and it changes into a Japanese coin with a hole through it. Wave your hand over the Japanese coin and it changes into a copper English penny. Wave your hand over the penny and it changes into an African coin with a hole in it. As a finale, the African coin changes back into the American half dollar.
In addition to the custom-made set of gaffed coins you also get a video tutorial with Simon Aronson performing and explaining his original handling, Meir Yedid teaching his versions of the Quadruple Spellbound, and Sol Stone teaching his Patriotic Poker Chips.
