No, “Marked Down” does not refer to a sale (sorry). It is the title of a new Dan Garrett download called “Epic Marked Down.” Although, as usual, the introductory price is discounted for around a week.
I have seen Dan perform this routine often. It was his go to mentalism routine, since he could do it on large stages and formal close-up shows. It only used four markers, four index cards, and a bowl or cup to hold the predictions. It is an ingenious take on the one a head principle combined with a mental epic sequence and a psychological force.
►Epic Marked Down:
A classic of mental magic that is expertly routined and scripted as well as redesigned to use minimal props. Three participants are asked to think of different things. You write down what each is thinking of on cards, using marking pens in the color of their choosing! The results are uncanny!
All your predictions match perfectly, and your spectators keep their predictions as souvenirs.

►AVAILABLE:
I was also able to get another small supply of my Bent, Erased & Spiked routines made. You may remember that it got a great review in the December Genii (which you can read on the product page). You basically get three quick one-coin routines you can carry with you. And all three routines end with an examinable impossible object.
►Bent, Erased & Spiked:
Both hobbyist and professional magicians are always looking for a quick piece of magic that can be easily carried with them and performed at a moment’s notice. This package contains three of those routines.
Another great thing that many of those magicians are aware of is that magic routines that end with an impossible object that is also examinable always get great reactions. All three of these routines end that way.
Coin magic specialists are often in pursuit of one-coin routines that are easy to follow and even easier for audiences to describe. All three of these routines are simple to follow, one-phase, one-coin routines.

►RUBINSTEIN REVIEWS:
Rick Holcombe recently reviewed two of Dr. Michael Rubinstein’s products, I thought you might like to see. Rick also mentions the recent theft of Ted Bogusta’s Dual Position coins system that I have been exclusively offering you for the past few years.

►BACK IN STOCK:
Just got a few more of the torn corner machines that allow you to score duplicate cards so you can tear the corners off multiple cards and the corners match!
►Torn Corner Machine:
The Torn Corner Machine is a playing card template that can be used to perforate duplicate cards in several different locations so cards can be set up to tear in almost the same way.
Although there are many ways to use this system the most obvious and popular is to have a card selected. Tear the corner off. Give it as a receipt to the spectator so they can identify the original selection. You then destroy or vanish the rest of the card. As if by magic that card is now found in an impossible location and the corner that the spectator is holding matches the found card.

“The important principles of deception are more psychological than visual. The magician is more concerned with misdirecting the mind than fooling the eye. He induces his audience to make false assumptions, think illogically, and draw wrong conclusions, so that they end by believing that something happened which did not happen.”
…Clayton Rawson (How To Entertain Children With Magic, 1962)
