I am really surprised and happy about how well the collectible P. Cinimod line of products are selling. I wish I had more of them. Unfortunately, this is the only remaining inventory known to exist. They have been in storage for more than 40 years and once they are gone that will be it.
As I mentioned previously, I shot an extensive interview with Dominic Paolino that I will likely edit into several themed interviews for MagicTimes.com sometime next year. One thing he mentioned is how he came up with the company name. As some of you might know his mentor and friend was the famed Artanis. Artanis was related to Frank Sinatra and decided to change his name by spelling Sinatra backwards. You see Artanis was a known card hustler. So, when Dominic decided to name his company he followed in his mentor’s footsteps by spelling his name backwards.
This week I will introduce you to the Maniac Gems. I learned the very long routine that uses five paddles but decided to only show some highlights in the trailer I made so you get a general idea of the full routine. Of course, each sequence can be a standalone routine, you don’t have to do everything that is taught. There were also at least two moves that are original with Dom and only appear here.
►Maniac Gems:
This is a multiphase routine using five different paddles. The routine features many different appearances, vanishes, transpositions, and just about every visual sequence known. There are even several techniques which have not seen print elsewhere. You can try to do the entire routine as described or just learn some of your favorite phases.
Manufactured by P. Cinimod. Comes with five different hand-made paddles with gems on them, and seven pages of instructions. Sold as a collectible that has been in storage for the past 40+ years.
