Just got a few copies of Craig Petty’s new book. Even though the name is Absolut Madness there is nothing maddening in it. It is full of performable routines that you can master and use to entertain your friends.
►Absolute Madness:
This hardcover book by Craig Petty is the culmination of thirty years of performing in front of real audiences and features a special link to a show with every effect in the book performed in front of a live audience.
Routines taught include: Across, Awesome Sandwich, Back Off, Final Twist, Designed Dupe, Lloyd, Cross, Movie, Sharp, Through The Looking Glass, Virtual Coin Assembly, Into The Void, Triple Double Jumbo Threat, Triple Split, Craig’s Medallion, Thud, Gadabout Bearings, The Big Family Show Sponge Ball Routine, and Balled Up.

►Incredible Appearing Nothing:
You introduce four red-backed playing cards. After showing them to be apparently ordinary cards, you introduce the concept of making nothing appear. The cards are counted again and suddenly one of them has a giant hole in the middle of it. The hole is nearly the entire width of the card, and there’s no way it could have been hidden. The hole is also proven to be real, and multiple surfaces can be seen through it. The card is fairly dealt to the table.
The remaining three cards are counted, and a second hole appears. This one is also real! A third and fourth hole appear in the respective cards, all of which are placed openly on the table. The cards are then stacked up and you comment about how conceptually, making nothing appear is very difficult. What’s much easier is to make something that looks like nothing. With a magical gesture, the hole in the middle of the cards transforms into a giant black sticker. All four cards are counted, and all four holes are shown to be stickers. The cards are shown front and back and no hole can be found.

►BACK IN STOCK:
When I introduced Ted Bogusta’s Sweet Prediction a couple of years ago it was a huge hit. Both at Magic Live where it sold out and later online where it sold out multiple times. I was just able to get a few more. I think you will like it.
►Sweet Prediction:
It is a borrowed and signed coin to impossible location routine that is disguised as a game with a prize and a prediction. The appearance of the signed coin comes as a total surprise.
The basic routine begins with you explaining that this is a magic trick, a prediction, and a game. You borrow a quarter (or similar sized coin). Have the spectator remember the date and initial it. You then place the coin inside an envelope and keep it in full view as you introduce a paper bag that you explain contains the prize if your prediction is wrong.
You then open the bag and remove a jar full of candy (or anything you like). You explain that the jar also contains the prediction of the coin’s date and if your prediction is wrong, they get to keep all the candy.
The spectator opens the jar and pulls a ribbon out from the bottom of the jar and on the end of the ribbon is a clip with a coin attached to it. You explain that the date on the coin should match the date they are thinking of… which it does.
But here is the unexpected shocker. When they turn over the coin, they see their initials on it.

►MY MAGIC’S LATEST RELEASE:
►WOW 7: Kreskin Edition:
This is a very limited The Amazing Kreskin Edition that includes two books from his personal inventory.
It is an ideal way to present a mentalism routine while discussing the most famous mentalist in history and justifying the use of the two hardcover books.
You can read the spectator’s mind and write down the word they are thinking of. Ask them to yell out the word they are thinking of, then show the audience the word you wrote. They match.
But it is not over yet. As an afterthought have the spectator think of the last word on that page. You can now proceed to dramatically spell out the thought of word for a double miracle.

“There is one joyous aspect of magic collecting and one that does not depend simply upon the acquisition of material artifacts: it is the wonderful friendships that develop between fellow collectors.”
