The Paddle Move, why it works, and its various applications was a recurring theme during my Zoom Lecture Tour and after one of the lectures I was contacted by Terry Broshears.

One of his hobbies is making custom gaffed knives like the traditional color changing knives and selling them to knife collectors (which is much larger that the magic market). He was mentored by a master knife maker and can make beautiful one-of-a-kind collectible knives. On average he makes between 70-80 knives per year and is working with me to make some nice knife sets that will be available throughout the year.

The first batch is not a color changing knife per se, but I thought that you might find them interesting since they are all hand made and each one is a little different and unique.

He also recently had knife lapel pins made that are also interesting. I bought a few of each to see if they would interest you.

Hot Rod Knife:
My friend Jim Zee invented the classic Hot Rod and the force that is associate with it. If you like to do that routine, you will love these beautiful one-of-a-kind knife sets that are made using replica 1893 Doctor’s Knives.

It is not like anything you have seen before. Look at the pictures. I currently have them in three different force colors.

Knife Lapel Pin:
Just like the magicians who like to wear magic themed lapel pins and tie tacks so do knife collectors. These are two different types of pins and both look like Hot Rods. Which I do not think was the original intent.

As soon as I saw them, I realized that you could force the two center colors using the standard force and then reveal it anyway you like: A color changing tie? A color changing shirt? Or a simple prediction that you are always wearing.

Pocket Nightmare:
This is not a classic yet, but it is part of just about every show Max Maven does. It is a very strong routine when presented correctly. The first two printings sold out amazingly fast and the third printing is now available. If you were thinking about it. This is your chance.

The Queen of Hearts and the two black nines. All the cards are cleanly shown as you place the Queen face up between the two face down nines. In an eerie visual the Queen begins to stretch to one-and-a-half times its length for an impossible visual. This is a small pair of handcuffs connected by a chain link that will swing when moved.
