The magicians who follow me on Facebook probably noticed the video I shared from a recent Marky Ramone concert (HERE). Coincidentally I came across a quote from the Ramones’ founding member Johnny Ramone which is also great advice for magicians, and artists in general.
While in England he told Joe Strummer from the Clash, “If you wait until you can play, you’ll be too old to get up there.”
A friend of mine recently performed a card routine/packet trick that I loved. The ending totally surprised me and made me laugh. The method is self-working and is loosely based on (from what I remember) a Sam Schwartz idea. But this is very different. You will like it.
Once you get it, visit the manufacturer’s website for an alternative handling of the last phase.
►Cloak:
Cloak is an outstanding self-working card routine that will fool and entertain your friends and audiences.
Its strength lies in the surprise ending that will get fantastic reactions.
It is basically a ten-card poker deal where the spectator makes all the decisions of what cards to get and ends up with a Royal Flush… The best hand in Poker… but wait… nobody said we are playing Poker! You turn over the hand that was selected for you and it is the winning hand in the game of Clue.

►Ultimate Floating Match:
This is a self-contained floating match effect that is easy to do and is always ready. There are no hookups or external forces used. Does not require any setup or reset of any kind. It is always ready to go.
It is based on Ben Harris’ Cosmosis and is endorsed by him. It is offered in two versions. As a matchbook and a matchbox.

►Wooden Coin Tray:
The coin tray which is also known as a Multiplying Coin Tray is an ancient magic prop that has been manufactured for more than a century by many different magic companies.
This is a small, handy version that is around 3.5-inches round, made of wood, and can hold coins as large as two half-dollars.
The basic routine has your spectator put a small number of coins on the tray and when you dump them into your fist (or your spectator’s) they double in quantity.

►Marvelous Nesting Envelopes:
Using the Mullica Wallet system, a playing card or prediction can be secretly and simply inserted inside this triple secured, impossible location, that has been held by the spectator from the beginning.
A locked red envelope is opened. Inside is a smaller black envelope. Inside this envelope is a sealed white envelope. Inside this envelope… paper clipped to your business card!… is the signed selected card. The outer red envelope is small enough to fit into your jacket pocket.

►OUR LATEST RELEASE:
►Quadruple Spellbound:
Originally created in the 1970s and first published in the 1980s, this was one of Simon Aronson’s favorite routines, that he always carried with him and performed often.
The basic effect: You show an American half dollar. You wave your hand over it, and it changes into a Japanese coin with a hole through it. Wave your hand over the Japanese coin and it changes into a copper English penny. Wave your hand over the penny and it changes into an African coin with a hole in it. As a finale, the African coin changes back into the American half dollar.
In addition to the custom-made set of gaffed coins you also get a video tutorial with Simon Aronson performing and explaining his original handling, Meir Yedid teaching his versions of the Quadruple Spellbound, and Sol Stone teaching his Patriotic Poker Chips.

PS: I have one last release this year very close to coming together. It is the routine I have been using to open my stand-up act for the past few years.
“If you have any ambition at all, you will not get very far using second-hand material. To be respected, you have to perform material that is yours …or more specifically, something that you have changed, so that it becomes your own.”
