Meir’s Muses
MyMagic eNewsletter #812
February 22, 2020
Of my many releases in recent years, my favorite to perform is Gene Maze’s Catch Me & Win. It makes sense since I have been doing versions of it for most of my life. I have also been very happy with the many reviews and comments from all of you.
You may have noticed that the only place you can get it is from me. One of the reasons is that my markup on the props was not enough for me to profitably sell it to other magic companies. Since releasing it, my costs have also gone up and the free or subsidized shipping I offer on the heavy prop was more than is affordable.
So, what to do? Raise the price? That is always my final option. Luckily Bill Schmeelk of Wellington Enterprises came up with a solution using Sintra, a PVC Industrial Plastic. After months of research and development, we finally came up with a base I was happy with.
I also spent months working on my new website which will stream the instructional videos for all my upcoming products. You may have encountered it if you recently purchased one of the Rainbow Phantom Cards.
So, here is the new Catch Me & Win and the differences between the original and the current version.
►A (5″ x 7″ x .75″) Wood Base with Sintra Bottom and Rubber Legs. ►Three Steel Posts. ►A Gold Aluminum Chain. ►Instructional DVD. | ►A (4.75″ x 6.5″ x .75″) Sintra PVC Base with Felt Legs. ►Three Steel Posts. ►A Gold Aluminum Chain. ►A Link to an Online Tutorial. |

I still have around 40 of the original Wooden Editions in stock and will keep selling them until I run out. Which do I like better? The Wooden Edition looks shinier, is a little bit bigger and heavier. I will end up using both depending on the performing conditions, but the new Sintra Edition will be my go-to version and one that I will continue to bring to conventions. It is lighter and will take much more abuse without showing any ware and tare. It will also fit more easily in the small cases I use to carry my close-up shows.

Warehouse Finds, Limited Quantities & Great Prices:
As you may remember this is part of a large Joker Magic inventory I purchased recently. I keep getting contacted about the items that sold out. Most of these items are no longer being manufactured and the ones that are will not be restocked. Once they are gone… they are gone.
►Automatic Square To Jumbo Dice:
A classic magnetic spot card routine with a kicker ending where the square card expands into a giant six-inch square die.
Info and buy: HERE
►Penhenge Sharpie:
A Sharpie marker suspension similar to the Broomstick Illusion. Interesting thing is that at the end of the demonstration the magnet gets excreted into the center of the marker rendering it ordinary so it can be handed for examination and used as a marker.
Info and buy: HERE
►Inexhaustible Pack Of Cards:
More interesting than the routine that comes with it is the card box. It is built like a stage illusion with a secret sliding bottom. That extra compartment can hold anything up to the size of a mini deck. And those items can be produced from the card box after a full deck is removed.
Info and buy: HERE
► Chinese Coin Bending:
You get two coins. A beautiful gold and black Chinese coin and a matching one that is bent. Using a very basic sleight you switch one for the other to prove how strong you are. Many other uses possible.
Info and buy: HERE
►Bermuda Mystery:
A gaffed coin and card system that makes the coin under the card vanish while still being able to casually show both sides of the card… even though the coin is attached to it.

It adds a level credibility to magicians while at the same time adding humor to your introductions. It is a great icebreaker. The next time you walk up to strangers you can pull out the badge as you say your name and title of Magician. It causes a moment of panic followed by relief and laughter. | PING PONG BALL VASE MORE INFO & BUY: HERE A beautiful hand spun Ping Pong Ball Vase made of a single piece of exotic wood. It comes with a Ping Pong ball and a matching shell (ball vase type). This is one of the few Ball Vases that uses a recognizable object, or what is termed an organic prop. Since the popularity of Beer Pong, that uses the same balls, has far surpassed the popularity of Table Tennis this has become a very common object. |
