MyMagic eNewsletter #999
March 12, 2022
In the last newsletter I hinted that I purchased the rights to another product line. This time it was the three tricks and two books that were produced by one of my oldest friends in magic, Obie O’Brien, who passed away a few months ago. We first met and became friends at the first magic convention I ever attended, the 1978 Tannen’s Jubilee.
Obie produced three tricks: Kolossal Kolored Kards, Big Bucks, and Almost Real Magic. I did receive a small inventory of each and will release them with new video tutorials soon.
Obie also published two books in 1982 and 1984. They were called Fork Full Of Appetizers Book 1 and 2 and were full of close-up magic contributed by 4F attendees that were among the most popular and talented magicians of the 1970s and 80s. It is a literal whose who in magic…As you can see below.
It was sad typing all their names in this newsletter since many of my friends are no longer with us and this brought back many memories.
My plan is to combine the two books into one and release the new edition in time for Magic Live!
Until then, I received all the remaining inventory, which is around thirty copies of each book, and am offering the first edition copies, as a set for the same price that they sold for around 40 years ago.

As promised another shipment of the Winston Freer Tile Puzzle has arrived. These are very reasonably priced and are simultaneously made on a three 3D Printers.
►Tile Puzzle:
Winston H. Freer (1910-1981) had a tremendous impact on the magic field and is mostly known for his classification of magic tricks and the Tile Puzzle. It ignited many versions and variations.
It is easier for you to watch the trailer to see what happens and how impossible it looks than trying to explain the routine.

PS: I just read my Royal Miracle routine in the second book which I completely forgot about and can’t wait to start playing with it again. It sounds really good!
