Gary Ouellet, producer of the World’s Greatest Magic Series, told MagicTimes this weekend that there will definitely be a World’s Greatest Magic 6, “…I am negotiating with two parties as we speak. But it will not air the night before Thanksgiving.” The Ouellet team is currently putting the final touches on their next magic special, “Hans Klok – Millenium” which is scheduled to air in November on FOX Family. 75-year old K. Lal and his son K. Lal, Jr. are on a nine-city U.S. tour performing around 25 shows. K. Lal is regarded as one of the best magicians in India and this tour is the first time he has performed in the U.S. This will be the only time we will get a chance to see him as he is planning to pass the mantle to his son who will take over the show. Ricky Jay’s cameo as Captain Amazing’s publicist in the new movie Mystery Men is one of the funniest moments of the picture, as he says, “Look, I’m a publicist, not a magician.”(8/12) A story about Doug Malloy in the Los Angeles Times highlights a show he performed for 50 preteens at Camp Axios where he weaved positive messages into his magic. Messages like, “You won’t get to be what you want to be when you grow up.
