Martin Gardner’s original Impromptu Magic book was a goldmine of ideas, tricks, gags, and methods. It was full of every kind of magic that can be performed at a moment’s notice. Additionally, it was one of those books that inspired thousands of variations… going through it you can’t help but apply what is taught to what you can visualize doing.
When I started out, I went through the original gigantic book and was mostly obsessed with the section dealing with hands and body parts. There were a ton of tricks you could do with your hands and when I started working on my own book that I was going to call the Encyclopedia of Finger Magic (which I will never finish), Martin Gardner, who was an early fan of my finger stuff, gave me permission to include everything he published in that book…. I never did but was honored by his gesture.
After Martin passed away, the remarkable Todd Karr took on the herculean task of updating the book and adding the hundreds of routines and ideas that Martin kept creating and accumulating. The project took years to complete, and the final product was incredible.
Todd allowed me to offer a few copies to all of you. If you don’t already have a copy… you should.
You will also find a seemingly impromptu, or at least organic visual with a Tic Tac that uses an unexpected method.
►Martin Gardner’s Impromptu:
This is the greatest collection of small magic ever assembled by legendary thinker and writer Martin Gardner, with thousands of effects, stunts, gags, gimmicks, and more.
It is full of impromptu close-up magic that is within the skill level of just about anyone. But you are getting a lot more than you can even imagine with more than more than 1700 effects and stunts.

â–şCandy Vault:
This is a quick and easy visual where a blue Tic Tac is placed on top of its clear box that is full of white Tic Tacs and it penetrates through, so it is inside. It can also be done in reverse, so the blue TicbTac penetrates out of the box and into your hand.
The Tic Tac box you get is not gimmicked so you can move everything from inside it to any container that houses similar looking candies.

â–şCCC: Monedas Chinas:
This is Hernán’s handling of the classic routine (inspired by Troy Hooser’s Charming Chinese Challenge) where three coins with holes in them are threaded on a ribbon and each one is magically pulled off the ribbon without destroying it. No extra coins or gimmicks are used. Everything is examinable at the beginning and the end.
This version can be performed while doing walkaround, formal close-up, and stand-up shows.
In addition to the routine, you will get three specially made thin washers which more deceptively hide how many coins you are holding when flashing from the sides and will make Hernan’s handling very easy and deceptive.

â–şBACK IN STOCK:
I have sold more than a hundred of these rings, and they continue to sell out. I hope people are not using them to cheat with. Got a bunch of size ten and eleven in stock.
►Gambler’s Ring:
This is a finger ring made of titanium steel that is brought to a high shine so it can be used as a mirror/shiner to see the cards as they are being dealt off the deck.
It also has a blister built in to use as a card punch so you can peg cards during play or while doing magic. Can also be used to mark, bills, envelopes or any such items.
It also makes an ideal prop in a gambling and cheating demonstration/expose.

â–şMY LATEST RELEASE:
â–şCoin Copier:
This is an ingenious self-working coin box routine that Christian Scherer created in the 1980s. Since that time the manufacturing technology and the availability of the gimmicks used has advanced and the current version works perfectly.
The basic routine involves a metal box which is referred to as a tiny counterfeiting machine. You dump the four coins out of the box; a Japanese coin, a Swiss coin, a British coin and a US coin. Using the Japanese coin as a sample each coin is placed in the box and one at a time, as the box is waved over the Japanese coin, the coin inside instantly turns into a duplicate of the Japanese coin. This is repeated until all four coins have turned into Japanese coins and everything is examinable.

PS: One of the exclusives I will have at Magic Live is an engineering marvel whose level of precision manufacturing has probably never been used in magic. Although the effect is great, I can’t wait to tip the ingenious method to everyone… it will put a big smile on your face. Although we have not been able to figure out a price yet… It will have to be expensive because of the materials and labor that is involved. Best part is that it is self-working.
“Once you start taking this hobby seriously, let discovery, experimentation, open-mindedness, dedicated practice, and an insatiable appetite for knowledge be your guide to making good decisions.”
