Shattering Illusions Productions presents the internationally acclaimed sleight-of-hand master Jamy Ian Swiss at the Kraine Theatre, New York City, beginning August 16, 2000.
Accompanied by little more than a deck of cards, Jamy Ian Swiss does things that just aren’t possible. Things that are scary. Things you won’t believe even after you see them. He will read your thoughts, predict the future, and convince you beyond a doubt that he has supernatural powers. You will question your own senses and you’ll be laughing all the way. He has been called magician, comedian, artist; Swiss himself prefers the phrase “Honest Liar”.
Swiss has made numerous television appearances in the US, Europe and Japan including appearances on CBS 48 Hours, PBS Nova and Comedy Central. He was a writer and chief magic consultant for Penn & Teller’s Sin City Spectacular, a weekly television variety show on FX network. Current television projects include a special on scams and con games for the Discovery Channel entitled “Cracking the Cons.” Swiss was featured on the PBS documentary, “The Art of Magic”, and is co-author of the companion book of the same title. He is the author of 11 books and writes articles for numerous magazines. He has been a magic consultant on various feature films and to Rolling Stone magazine.
