One of the classic plots in card magic is the selected card to impossible location. The easiest way to accomplish that is to use a force and a duplicate. Of course, there are tons of sleight of hand methods of accomplishing the same thing. But sometimes the simplest method is best… assuming it is logical and justified.

I have been playing with Trick Tac lately and I really like it. It is a Tic Tac container full of candy that visually changes its contents into anything that will fit in the box.

Watch the trailer and read my ad copy: HERE

    â–ºTrick Tac:

You have a card selected (forced). You then show a standard looking box of Tic Tacs. Shake it to prove it is full of Tic Tacs and even open the lid to dump a couple out to give away.

You then have people focus on the Tic Tacs while they visually vanish and in their place is a folded card. The box is opened, the card is removed, and it is seen to be the selected card. Practically self-working.

    â–ºMaking Magic:

Martin Lewis created many routines that are regularly used by the most popular magicians and mentalists.

His creative approach to entertaining magic is applied to close-up, parlor, and stage magic with a special interest in practical stand-up magic.

This legacy book contains detailed explanations to more than 50 of his best routines.

    BACK IN STOCK:

I decided to re-stock the Torn Corner Machine in case you want to do the Trick Tac with a torn corner. Coincidentally the tutorial explains a bonus routine using it.

    â–ºTorn Corner Machine:

The Torn Corner Machine is a playing card template that can be used to perforate duplicate cards in several different locations so cards can be set up to tear in almost the same way.

Although there are many ways to use this system the most obvious and popular is to have a card selected. Tear the corner off. Give it as a receipt to the spectator so they can identify the original selection. You then destroy or vanish the rest of the card. As if by magic that card is now found in an impossible location and the corner that the spectator is holding matches the found card.

    Watch and buy: HERE

    â–ºIdeal Meal:

Display a collection of cards with different drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts from a variety of restaurants. Your friend uses these as a menu to order a four-course meal. Once their choices are made, all the cards are turned over to reveal prices on the backs, with each item having a different value. Their selections are totaled, and that total matches your prediction!

    Watch and buy: HERE

    Stay happy, Meir

PS: Thank you to all who attended the 3-hour zoom event. I hope you had as much fun as I did.
