Abra Cadabra Cafe is the name of a magic themed restaurant which is scheduled to open in September in Fairfield, Ohio (near Cincinnati). The owners Rick Walkenhorst and Ken Riley who are both amateur magicians will spend more than a quarter of a million dollars to renovate the 3,900-square-foot restaurant which will seat 105. Lance Burton will unveil his wax likeness and entertain 100 kids from Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas on Thursday Jul. 22 at 10am as part of the festivities surrounding the opening of Madame Tussaud’s Celebrity Encounter at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. This is the first time that Madame Tussaud’s Wax museum will open an exhibit of their famous wax portraits of celebrities in the U.S. Other magicians are also included in the exhibit.(7/22)

The International Society For Paranormal Research (ISPR) has announced that they will accept the $1,000,000 James Randi Foundation Challenge. On Friday Jul. 23 at 4pm they will have a press conference at the Vogue Theatre (6675 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, CA) where they will officially announce what they intend to prove. So far the ISPR team said they will prove “to James Randi and all witnesses that psychic abilities do exist” and they will “donate the one million dollar prize to complete the restoration and renovations of the Vogue Theatre.” (7/23)
