A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine called me to tell me about this trick that he thought I would really like and should carry. A few days later I was having dinner with another friend and he performed the same trick for me. I thought it was an omen, so decided to offer it to you.
It is a routine by Wayne Dobson that was manufactured by Alan Wong. Besides being a trick that fools and is easy it is also very funny because of the word play involved.
Even though what makes this entertaining is the built-in comedic wording the trailer they did for it is done to music. So please look at the possibilities with the words on the chips when watching the trailer.
►Win Or Lose:
You show six plastic chips which have words on them. The words printed on the faces are: Mine, Yours, Something, Nothing, This, and That.
You explain that one of the chips is a winner and the rest are losers. You then give them the ultimate chance of winning by freely selecting five of the chips and leaving one for you. After the selections are made you turn over their five chips and each of them has the word “Lose” printed on them while the one they left for you has the word “Win”!
