One of the surprise highlights of my Bag Of Trix lecture was my Customizable Twists. I originally came up with that routine when I was still a teenager and was striving to be “The Packet Trick King.”

After reading Frank Garcia’s sponge ball book where he pitched the idea of becoming a “Sponge Ball King,” I thought that the King of Packet Tricks was open and nothing anyone else would want to claim!

I was surprised that magicians were discussing and playing with this routine and the compliments I got from the lecture attendees. The main reason I included it in the lecture is that I wanted to teach two important handling subtleties and reinforce the idea of giving gifts to your audiences.

I decided to release it as a standalone download which contains more details than I was able to offer at the lectures. This is the same tutorial that attendees had access to. Now you can own it.

Customizable Twists:
An easy Twisting The Aces routine with a kicker ending that can be customized to promote yourself, a customer you are performing for, or just about anything you can think of.

The basic routine involves the four Aces which are displayed face up. One at a time the Aces turn face down and face up until the very end where a surprise ending comes into play. The backs of the Aces have changed color and reveal a message that you customized for the occasion.

Oh… and the best part is that at the end all the Aces are examinable and can be given out as souvenirs!

Was incredibly sad to hear of the passing of my friend Louis Falanga. He, along with Mike Maxwell who died a few months ago, were the major producers of magic instructional videos and helped shape an entire generation of magicians with their productions.

They were also my peers and competitors, but we were also friends. I miss their phone calls where we mostly discussed the magic marketing scene with its rapid evolution in content and format and how we must constantly adapt to stay in the game.

STRETCHING QUEEN MORE INFO & BUY: HERE This is a beautifully clean handling of Peter Kane’s brilliant Elongated Lady effect. You begin by removing three cards from your deck. The Queen of Hearts and the two black nines. All the cards are cleanly shown as you place the Queen face up between the two face down nines. In an eerie visual the Queen begins to stretch to one-and-a-half times its length for an impossible visual. The Queen is then shrunk back to its normal size and all three cards are cleanly shown on both sides. The Queen can then be given out as a souvenir.
