Today I will introduce you to a new routine by Astor that I think most of you will really like. When he first sent me a video of him performing it I couldn’t figure out how it worked. When I asked, he sent me a short paragraph explaining it, but I still could not understand how it was possible. I took the video and brief explanation to show a bunch of my friends and one of them explained the devious method to me.
Since that time Astor has simplified the method so it is practically self-working and self-contained.
It is a bank-night type of routine where the audience selects three out of four different bags leaving you with the one with the treasure.
►Gift Game:
It is a bank night type of routine that is ideal for special occasions like parties, celebrations, anniversaries, ceremonies, or corporate events… Or just about any type of audience.
Three randomly selected audience members mix up four mysterious paper bags and even swap the colored clothespins attached to them. They then freely choose three numbers between 1 and 4.
The four colored number cards are placed in front of the paper bags, matching the colors of the numbers to the colors of the clothespins. This process determines the color and number of each bag. The bags they chose contain small, low-value gifts… but the bag they leave behind holds the grand prize!

►Carpenter’s Conceptions:
Subtitled as “The Innovative Magic of Jack Carpenter” this is Jack’s biggest release to date. It’s filled with unpublished material that include routines he’s created and honed in the fifteen years since the release of the Expert’s Portfolio series, as well as some secrets he’s been keeping for even longer.
In addition to elegantly crafted card magic routines and sleights, you’ll also find remarkable magic with other items such as coins, rope and even fire. There are 35 total items (28 routines and 7 sleights), all taught in exquisite detail and illustrated with more than 200 photographs. From magic for the card table to walkaround gems that don’t require a table, there is something for everyone–including many magician foolers.

►BACK IN STOCK:
Below you will find two items that have been in strong demand and continually selling out. Both are easy and clever. One is a coin routine and the other a card routine.
►Organic Copper Silver Brass Set:
The classic Copper, Silver, Brass routine is one of the most popular of all gaffed coin effects because of the many combinations possible.
There are many routines and sequences in print and on video. The basic routine explained in the instructions starts with a Quarter, a Centavo, and a washer in one hand. The Quarter is taken away and visually changes places with the Centavo and washer. The sequence is repeated. A third phase happens with the coins changing places with the one in your pocket. Everything is examinable at the end.

►OMG Opener:
This is the multiphase card routine that Astor uses to open his close-up show at the Magic Castle.
You begin by giving the deck a real riffle shuffle. You then mix the cards face up and face down and miraculously all the cards are now facing the same way.
The deck is now cut into four packets and the top card of each packet is shown to be an ace.
When the four packets are turned face up the four matching kings are shown.
For the finale the packets are spread to show that all the cards are now separated by suite and are in ace to king order.

“Remember that reading the instructions and learning the secret of a trick does not make you a magician. Magic is a performing art and is best learned by doing.”
