When I was a teenager who was obsessed with packet tricks, Ed Hollins gave me some tips about creating my own. This is my expanded version of that advice: Once you decide on a premise and an easy-to-follow story you will then decide on how to illustrate it. First you should decide how many cards the audience is supposed to be aware of. Then multiply that number by two, which will give you the total number of surfaces that are supposed to be in play (i.e. 4-cards, 8-surfaces).
The object will now be to maximize the number of different surfaces the audience will be shown using gimmicks, extra cards, sleights, and subtleties. If you look at my Cardinal Cards or Mirror Miracle, you will see examples of how I efficiently maximized the process. Ideally you want to get as close to double the total surfaces and if possible surpass them.
Which brings us to today’s MyMagic release. It is a David Solmon packet trick. I had to release it under my brand after watching his Solomon’s Mind DVD where he twice said that I will be releasing this trick! I must make his prediction come true!
If you watch the trailer, you will notice that this routine has more surface changes than should be possible. And it is accomplished with just one extra card and an Elmsley Count.
►Printing On Demand:
This is one of David Solomon’s favorite packet tricks. It full of visual transformations and multiple climaxes.
Themed around how everything is now being printed on demand… even playing cards. You place a blank Bicycle card to one side.
You then show four Jokers with blank backs. One by one you print four different colorful backs on them. After the four backs are printed, you magically cause all the Joker faces to vanish, leaving you with four blank cards with different backs. As a surprise ending, the blank card you placed aside at the beginning now has all four Jokers.

►Coin Clip:
Christian Scherer redesigned the original Slydini Coin Clip in the 1980s, to make it much easier to handle and the perfect size for four half dollars. It also allows for more natural handlings.
The video tutorial is the most comprehensive treatise on the subject ever presented. It includes many of the common methods as well as little known applications for close-up and stage. Subjects include: Coin Insertions (7 methods), Hand Steals (6 methods), Hand To Hand Toss, Lapping (4 methods), Almost Perfect Vanish, Sleeving (2 methods), Topit, NOW-U-IT Vanish, Pull (3 methods), Pendulum Principle/Upside-Down Topit (2 Methods), Baby Bottle Nipple, Silly Putty, and much more.

Stay happy, Meir
PS: The older I get the more difficult it has become to learn multiphase routines. I now break them down into 4-5 parts. I practice part one until I am happy, then 1 and 2 together, then 1-3, 1-4, and finally the entire routine. By the end I have done it around 50 times. I then do it a few times a day until I am happy. It is similar to how I memorize scripts, learning it all at once has become difficult.
PS2: If you did not watch my interview, to learn how I think, you can catch it: HERE
“A book of tricks that require no practice at all would be a book of puzzles. So, put in the necessary practice; I think you’ll find that it will be time well spent.”
