Since Michael Breggar retired, he has been on a tear, besides the monthly column in the Linking Ring, he has released multiple tricks through different companies, published multiple eBooks, presented multiple lectures, and even performed at the Magic Castle.
I don’t think that even he knows how many items he published and released in the past five years.
The one thing that most of his tricks have in common is a novel approach combined with a devious method. The other thing that is unique to his creations is that they are mostly either self-working or very easy.
He approached me at the 4F convention with some leftover inventory which I picked up. The Art Attack routine was what he performed in his show.
►Art Attack!:
A self-working prediction with pieces of art and a surprise ending.
You start out with a bunch of cut-up postcards and a short procedure where the spectators decide how they are mixed.
The postcards are spread across the table and a red envelope is introduced. When opened, it has a prediction inside, that “four pieces will be face down.” The face-down pieces are counted, and there are exactly four!
Not only that! you say, “but sometimes they come together to make a masterpiece…” you turn over three of the pieces to show they are all from the same picture! Allowing the spectator to turn over the last piece – it doesn’t match!
With their mis-made picture on the table, you turn over the prediction card to reveal it is an exact match of the mis-made picture!

►PSI-Roller:
An easy routine with cards and dice that creates an impossible outcome.
You show a deck of cards, and then set a prediction face down on the table. Next you bring out four different dice, each with a different number of sides (D4, D6, D8 and D10).
The spectator rolls the dice, generating four random numbers, that are placed on top of four prediction cards.
The cards are carefully removed from underneath the cards, and flipped over… Amazingly, each card has the same value as the die the spectator chose to place on it!

►BACK IN STOCK:
Had lunch with Michael Rubinstein and picked up a few more of recently sold-out items.
►Conviction Prediction:
This is a mentalism/coincidence routine using coins and Poker chips.
You begin by displaying three Poker chips and letting three friends select one for themselves. You then show them four small envelopes containing four different coins and they select one of those as well. Throughout the process you give them a chance to change their mind because they are all free choices.
The envelopes are now opened revealing the different coins that were inside. You then reveal the surprise ending.
Even though they had every opportunity to switch chips and envelopes… when the chips are turned over, you show that they have permanent photographs of the matching selected coins embedded in them. Everything is now examinable.

►The Other Hand:
Dr. Michael Rubinstein performed “The Other Hand,” his new coin plot, on season nine of Penn & Teller: Fool-Us. You saw him perform a five-minute showpiece.
After recording the formal TV version of the routine, he decided to continue refining the routine and eventually created a close-up version that is shorter, more direct, and easier to do. The new close-up version uses the same props but is streamlined for more intimate performances.
Since the props involved are difficult to put together, he decided to release a limited edition for serious coin magicians and collectors. Only 60 signed and numbered sets will ever be produced!

►OUR LATEST RELEASE:
►Traits & Emotions:
This routine begins with having your friend think of any person that they know something about. It could be a friend, a relative, an acquaintance or someone famous.
You then show them ten cards which have a list of 100 different human characteristics. You have them find a characteristic that reminds them of the person they are thinking of.
After a little byplay you will know the word they are thinking of, and you can reveal it anyway you like.
