Geoff Latta and I were friends, mostly in the 1970s and 1980s, we would very often meet after work and hang out, usually starting at the second floor of Burger King in Times Square until they threw us out and then proceed to other joints. As a graphic designer he designed my Mullica VHS box (first color VHS box in magic), my Harry Anderson logo, my Magical Wishes book cover, and other minor things.
He was one of the most talented card and coin sleight of hand artists I ever met. I will let you in on a secret, he was also very easy to fool because he often focused on enjoying the magic and didn’t pay attention to method. Unfortunately, he died at a very young age of 51.
Luckily his friends were able to unearth and salvage many of his creations and release two books full of his creations and concepts. The coin book came out in 2017 and the card book was just released. Both can be found below.
►Geoff Latta: 52 Farewells:
Geoff Latta kept a quiet profile. He did not pursue a performing career, he seldom lectured on his magic, and he published selectively, an item here, another there. Yet his material and its influence slowly permeated the fabric of modern close-up magic. This quiet dissemination of sleights and tricks disguised a surprisingly large body of important work.
52 Farewells gathers all of Geoff Latta’s known card magic, published as well as private into a final book that will cement his legacy as an expert card magician and thinker. You will learn his many techniques, refinements, applications, and routines.

►Geoff Latta: The Long Goodbye:
The Long Goodbye presents all of Geoff Latta’s known coin magic, published and unpublished. It is a record of brilliant innovation that coin-magic aficionados will be absorbing, mastering and emulating for years to come. You will learn 48 of his routines and more than 25 sleights.
But more than magic, this book also focuses on the subtle construction, psychology and choreography that were the hallmark of Geoff’s magic.

Below is a download by Geoff Latta. This one includes more advanced coin magic. Not because of difficulty but because of the many different sequences and the acting involved.
It includes his work on the classic Three Fly or Fingertip Coins Across sequences which include a discussion by David Roth, Geoff Latta, and Dr. Michael Rubinstein. The introductory price will expire on Friday night.
►Coin Flights:
Geoff tackles the concept of doing coin magic routines at your fingertips, while standing, and his interpretation of the now classic Three Fly.
►Trick With Three Coins (Standing Hoard): Geoff’s version of the fingertip coins across routine using two coins and a shell. The routine is full of surprises for the magician and the audience as coins appear, jump from hand to hand and eventually vanish.
►Technical Rehandling Of Three Fly (Triple Crossed): Geoff’s streamlined version of Chris Kenner’s Three Fly using four coins.
►Bonus: During a live discussion at the New York Coin Magic Seminar David Roth, Geoff Latta, and Dr. Michael Rubinstein discuss the history and origin of Fingertip Coins Across Routines (Three Fly).
Techniques explained include: Downs Palm, Fingertip Retention Of Vision Vanish, Downs Palm Transfer, Al Baker’s Friction Steal, Heel Clip, Michael Gallo’s Utility Pass, and the French Pop Vanish.

►ONO Roller Silicone:
Released to the public as a high-end fidget, for magicians it is ideal for keeping your hands and fingers limber along with the other benefits that it was made for. The Silicone ribs are ideal for stimulating blood flow and nerve endings.
With its textured exterior, the Silicone ONO is perfect for relieving hand tension and massaging small knots away. With its two frictionless rollers, it calms restless fidgeting and soothes busy minds. It is also adjustable for different tensions.
The patented smooth and silent system can help anchor your focus, channel restless energy, can give your brain a micro-reset, and of course keep your hands and fingers limber for accomplishing sleight of hand maneuvers.

PS: I am probably getting a lot more from the coin magic downloads that I am offering than you are. Really enjoying learning and experimenting with these new moves, strategies, and routines. Of course, I have to watch them 5-10 times as I am putting them together.
“I’ve never stopped practicing the basics. I’m always analyzing, trying different timings, body language, finger positions, trying to strengthen the strong aspects of a technique and eliminate or minimize the weak parts.”
