MyMagic eNewsletter #1,277

Just an inexpensive download today. Many years ago, when I spent three weeks in the hospital where my left hand was the only one functioning I created a bunch of one-armed moves and tricks. My second favorite one is below. I use it all the time.
If you are curious, my favorite was a one-hand bottom palm that I published in the MUM.
►My Lefty False Cut:
This is a series of one-handed coordinated moves that accomplish what is a standard card routine. Some of the basics of any pick-a-card routine are a control, a cut or shuffle, and a revelation. Using the same grip and technique you will be able to do all three.
You will learn how to do a Charlier Cut, My Lefty False Cut, My Lefty Control, and My Lefty Cut Revelation. Although all three are accomplished one-handed you can obviously use your other hand to help with the action.

►Notion of Motion:
The basic effect has you holding a card case in your hand, a spectator names any card. You open the flap of the cardcase and as you wave your hand the freely named card rises out of the pack. Watch the trailer.
Once mastered, the routine can become a visual, powerful, and direct piece of magic for any formal show.
No forces, no equivoque, no magnets, no threads, no electronics, just a special deck of cards and an ingenious method.

►Super Card Rise Video:
The routine begins with the deck being examined and shuffled by your friend. A card is selected and lost in the deck. The deck is held in your hand as the selected card rises out of the deck. Both the card and the deck can then be examined.
Derek enjoyed doing this routine not only because it fooled people but because the method was devious and funny to explain.

►OUR LATEST RELEASE:
►The Mouse That Roared:
Dan Garrett’s routine is quick and visual where a small mouse (puppet) runs up and down your arm, fingers, across your shoulders, attacks you, kisses you, interacts with you, bites you, it is fed, and so much more.
This streamlined mouse (originally called Judy The Mouse) does not use any fur or animal products in the manufacture of the puppet. The mouse also includes a small squeaker that is embedded inside, so all the squeaks are self-contained and are not dangerous to use like the original warblers.

►BACK IN STOCK:
Received a small supply of the two items below. Both are important to magicians who do magic with cards.

►Art Of Switching Decks:
Roberto Giobbi teaches you dozens of methods and strategies on how to switch decks standing, seated, with and without a jacket — using shrewd psychology, not knuckle-busting sleights or special gimmicks or apparatus. The only things required to do these professional switches are decks of cards and your pockets. You will learn all the methods for imperceptibly switching decks, along with the psychological principles behind them; principles that allow you to apply and modify deck switching techniques to suit any circumstance.

►Torn Corner Machine:
The Torn Corner Machine is a playing card template that can be used to perforate duplicate cards in several different locations so cards can be set up to tear in almost the same way.
Although there are many ways to use this system the most obvious and popular is to have a card selected. Tear the corner off. Give it as a receipt to the spectator so they can identify the original selection. You then destroy or vanish the rest of the card. As if by magic that card is now found in an impossible location and the corner that the spectator is holding matches the found card.
