You probably know that I love routines with logical multiple outs and even created and released a few. This week’s routine revolves around lucky charms and includes two great outs along with the three standard ones.
In a unique trailer you are taught how the routine works and what the five outs are. Take a look: HERE
►Fortuna:
An excellent interpretation of the classic Mental Choice routine where a spectator has a free choice of any of five cards depicting good luck charms.
What makes this version special is that whatever your audience member or friend selects has been predicted in advance and those predictions are excellent.
Watch the video trailer. Everything is explained so you will know exactly what you are getting and how everything is revealed.

Yesterday Michael Rubinstein dropped by our offices where he delivered a bunch of autographed books and a small supply of his new limited-edition routine… that will be released in a couple of weeks.
He also shared his recent experience taping a new spot for Penn & Teller: Fool Us which is scheduled to air on Friday Nov. 18.
►Rubinstein Coin Magic:
Dr. Michael Rubinstein has had a lifelong passion for magic with coins. Over his lifetime he has earned a reputation as being one of a handful of Coin Magic Experts. He has offered hundreds of techniques and routines in books, magazines and on video.
As he was working on his legacy project, he selected what he felt were the best of his routines and techniques and added many new routines and improvements for most others. You will find work on just about every known coin plot and some that you have never heard of. Most of the magic uses sleight-of-hand although there are sections on gaffs, chips, coins with cards and even some coin mentalism!

►Astro Coin:
A major part of the routine is placing a glass mouth down on a deck of cards. Tossing an invisible coin at the glass and a coin appears under it. When the coin is slid off the deck it changes into a penny.
The hand-made gimmicks used with this routine are around nine cards thick, which allows the rest of the deck to be used for whatever you like. The instructions teach a simple triumph routine to do with it before the coin magic sequence.

►Origamagic White Crane:
The effect: A white tissue is crumpled into a ball and tossed from hand to hand. As it is being tossed it visually begins folding itself into an origami crane!
This outstanding effect comes from Japan and uses the latest in fabric technology that does all the work for you.

►Diamond Cutter:
A card is selected and lost in the deck. You snap your fingers and triumphantly reveal… the wrong card! It’s the five of diamonds, though the chosen card was the three of diamonds… so close!
To fix the situation, you tear off the bottom two diamonds leaving three diamonds on the torn card, but the index, of course, remains a five. Then, in an impossible moment, you rub the index of the card, and the five transforms into a three, leaving the torn card with the correct index and number of pips even though the complete face was shown as a five just a moment ago.

PS: For the purchasers of Astro Coin: Try it with a Nickle instead of a Quarter. Works much easier and better that way.
“The description of the effect will sound farfetched… until you read the daring simple method used.”
