When The Man Who Was Erdnase was first published by Busby Magic in 1991 I immediately purchased a copy and read the entire book. I love the first part, which was a wonderful story about why Milton Franklin Andrews has to be S.W. Erdnase (the name spelled in reverse). An absolutely great story, whether you care about the book or even card magic or card cheating you will love going through this adventure.
Of course, the rest of the book is more technical and looks at the contents and tries to update and clarify the techniques.
Although their candidate for Erdnase’s identity turned out to be controversial the story is still riveting and an enjoyable read. The copies below are in mint condition and come from Jeff Busby’s estate.
While on The Expert At The Card Table kick, I am also offering you the new EDC Erdnase, an inexpensive pocket size edition.
►The Man Who Was Erdnase:
The Man Who Was Erdnase is the spellbinding story of a fabulous character and his technique, an incredible book like nothing else you have read! Who was this shadowy figure that wrote the best book on cards ever published? What type of man was he? Who was “Erdnase”?
This electrifying full-length book is the definitive story of the work, life, and methods of the mysterious cardsharp who called himself “Erdnase” …Milton Franklin Andrews.
The book also includes more than 750 technical and historical notes on the text! There’s extensive information on the odd and rare editions of his fabulous book; the text of Andrews’ own letters to different newspapers; and a comprehensive list of sources of information on Erdnase and his work, including several references not previously known to magicians.

►EDC Erdnase:
The Every Day Carry Erdnase is an inexpensive pocket-sized edition of classic magic and gambling book, The Expert At The Card Table by S.W. Erdnase.
The book contains the full text and graphics from the original 1902 edition and features line numbers for easy reference to any part of the book. It is slightly larger than a deck of cards and is lighter.

►Conviction Prediction 2.0:
The original Conviction Prediction became so popular that Michael kept working on it and streamlining the method and handling. This new 2.0 version creates the same effect but now it automatically resets for repeat performances, easy to carry in a leather wallet, and can easily be done standing.
What makes this special is the delayed ending which comes completely unexpectedly, and since none of the props are gimmicked and only one simple sleight is used everything is examinable at the end.

►OUR LATEST RELEASE:
►Keys To Magic’s Inner World:
This book is a window into the history of magic collecting in the United States. You will learn about the earliest collectors and collections as they evolved and morphed into the present industry.
The book also includes many new photographs of collections and collectors that have come into existence or expanded in the last quarter of the century.

►BACK IN STOCK:
I am not sure why I keep selling so many of these gimmicked finger rings. I doubt if they are all going to magicians, maybe gamblers? Mentalists? Who knows, anyway, I have more.
►Gambler’s Ring:
This is a finger ring made of titanium steel that is brought to a high shine so it can be used as a mirror/shiner to see the cards as they are being dealt off the deck.
It also has a blister built in to use as a card punch so you can peg cards during play or while doing magic. Can also be used to mark, bills, envelopes or any such items.
