I was originally hesitant in carrying Die-Abolical Bet because I assumed I knew how it worked from the trailer. So, I bought one to play with and was surprised that I was wrong about the method.
It is very clever and very simple. It is one of the reasons it is getting mixed reviews online. Magicians either love it or just like it. But the major complaint is the perceived value, as many pointed out, the cost of the box it comes in is likely more than the cost of its contents. But that has been happening for a while since tricks started being sold in those magnetic boxes. Plus, I never question value because I never know what the real cost of getting something to market is. I know that my expenses have skyrocketed in the past couple of years.
Back to the trick, it is reminiscent, in effect, of my favorite Tenyo trick, which I purchased in my teens: the incredible Squeeze Play. But the method is completely different, and I personally like the full deck version that is explained at the end of the tutorial.
►Die-Abolical Bet:
This is a visual penetration of a die through a playing card.
You have a shot glass and a translucent die examined. You take a pair of cards from the deck and place one of the cards on the glass, the die on the card, and the second card on top the die. With one swift motion, you press down on the top card, and the die passes through the bottom card and into the glass. You can repeat the sequence if you like, and even allow the objects to be examined.

►Card Of Destiny:
This is a very clever system used to do the classic diary trick using one calendar and one deck of cards. It is also very easy and does not require any memory work.
You begin by handing the spectator a monthly day planner (also known as a diary or calendar) which has different names of playing cards written on each date.
You then show a deck of cards and shuffle it a few times as you ask your spectator to name any date.
The spectator then selects a card and places it aside. When they look through the diary to see what card is on their date, it turns out to be the same card that was just selected.

►BACK IN STOCK:
►Card-Toon Remastered:
You introduce a deck of cards with drawings on the back. The drawings are a charming little stick figure standing on a stage. You show that each card is just a little different, and if you flip through the deck, the drawings become a flip book of a magician performing a trick. The drawings animate, showing the magician removing his hat, reaching inside, and then pulling out a rabbit.
Ask your audience to name any card. That card is removed from the deck and set aside. You show the back of the deck again and display the animation one more time. This time when you flip all the way through the deck, the magician doesn’t just pull the rabbit out of the hat. The rabbit magically transforms into a playing card that is a prediction of the freely named card.

PS: Was very sad to hear of the passing of my friend John Mintz, at the age of 94, who was the last of Dai Vernon’s original students and was responsible for the Zarrow book. I am now the only survivor of our magic posse from the 1980s of Zarrow, Mintz, Wohl, Varley, and myself. You can watch my interview with him: HERE
“At this moment I want to explain to you that the activity of the human machine, that is, of the physical body, is controlled, not by one, but by several minds, entirely independent of each other, having separate functions and separate spheres in which they manifest themselves.”
