The response to my Nine Assistants postcards was surprisingly good… considering I did it as a gag to amuse myself. I printed more postcards than I have customers, so I will continue to include signed copies for the rest of September.
I also couldn’t resist having a poster-sized canvas version made for myself, to hang in my office.
A while ago I hoarded many of Martin Lewis’ Pocket Technicolor Predictions that were recently produced. Was going to offer them to you a couple of weeks ago but held back until now. You can read what I originally wrote about them: HERE
I was seriously considering adding the routine to my stage act, and even bought stacks of colored paper so I can customize the predictions for each show and give away the prediction as a souvenir. I intended to describe what the people looked like and what they were wearing instead of their gender. But decided that I didn’t want more than one mentalism/prediction routine in my show.
►Pocket Technicolor Prediction:
You start by showing three different colored envelopes. A woman selects one (let us say yellow) and takes the folded prediction inside it, a man selects one (let’s say red) and takes the folded prediction inside it, and the blue envelope is left for you.
When the woman opens her prediction it says, “You will select yellow.” This gets a big laugh as people start to figure out what is going on. The man opens his prediction, and it says, “You will select red.” Another laugh.
But here is when it gets good: When the prediction in the blue envelope is shown, it reads, “The woman will choose yellow, the man will choose red, and I will be left with the blue!”

►Smart Guillotine:
A unique and new method for the Finger Chopper plot involves a clear stand and black sheet of plastic.
You can place your finger, a rolled-up bill, or any similar sized object into the hole in the clear stand then lower a plastic blade into the stand, so it seemingly penetrates your finger.
You can then remove the blade and show that your finger in undamaged.

►Gambler’s Ring:
This is a finger ring made of titanium steel that is brought to a high shine so it can be used as a mirror/shiner to see the cards as they are being dealt off the deck.
It also has a blister built in to use as a card punch so you can peg cards during play or while doing magic. Can also be used to mark, bills, envelopes or any such items.
