Meir’s Muses:
MyMagic eNewsletter #798
December 14, 2019
I got several emails telling me how the purchasers of the Sponge Ball Vase are happy with what they received. The vases are beautiful, and I still have three left if you want one you can get it: HERE.
This week I am releasing what is perhaps the most useful of the wooden ball vases. They are just as gorgeous as the Sponge Vases except they are smaller and use Ping Pong Balls, also known as Table Tennis Balls. It is funny how the popularity of Beer Pong, which uses the same balls seems to have far surpassed Ping Pong. Which is good for us since more people can relate to the balls.
Although the Ball Vase can be found in many children’s magic sets it has also been performed by many top professional magicians who have added sleight of hand to the routines to form some very interesting phases. Michael Skinner’s routine can be found in his Professional Close-Up Magic #3 video: HERE.
I once again made a video trailer for the vases so you can see the detail and workmanship of the props. There is also a sequence in there that uses two vases.
After finishing the trailer, I realized that some people might think that the set comes with two Ball Vases. It does not. You only get one vase, one shell, and one ball. You will need to buy two sets of you want to do the transpositions.
The Ping Pong Ball Vase comes in two versions. The Tall Top is like the Sponge Vase with the ornamental lid. The Short Top is not as fancy but is sturdier, if you want to carry it around and abuse it.

Ping Pong Ball Vase:
A beautiful hand spun Ping Pong Ball Vase made of a single piece of exotic wood. It comes with a Ping Pong ball and a matching shell (ball vase type).
This is one of the few Ball Vases that uses a recognizable object, or what is termed an organic prop. Since the popularity of Beer Pong, that uses the same balls, has far surpassed the popularity of Table Tennis this has become a very common object.
The base of the vase is also hollow so you can load a small object like a silk or sponge as a kicker ending. It is available in two varieties.
Manufactured in a factory located in a Cambodian jungle using artisans and gas-powered generators running the lathes. They are hand-spun from one piece of wood and vary in texture, tint, finish, size and design. Since they are individually hand-made they will vary from the ones pictured. Very limited quantity.

MAGICIAN BADGE CLICK HERE: For more info and to order This is a real Magician Badge that was fashioned on the badges used by law enforcement agencies around the world. It adds a level credibility to magicians while at the same time adding humor to your introductions. It is a great icebreaker. The next time you walk up to strangers you can pull out the badge as you say your name and title of Magician. It causes a moment of panic followed by relief and laughter. This badge was designed and manufactured from scratch. The amount of magical detail is incredible. If you look closely you will see Doves, Cups & Balls, Magic Wands, Playing Cards, Japanese Coins, and even two different reveals you can incorporate into your routines. | CATCH ME & WIN CLICK HERE: For more info and to order Gene Maze’s fantastic chain routine combines the Fast & Loose or Endless Chain routines with the classic Three Card Monte and Three Shell Game scams. When the routine was originally published many top pros built their own sets and put it into their shows. The basic routine starts out with a wooden stand holding three pegs or posts. A chain is then wrapped around all the pegs as you explain that when the chain is pulled one peg will always catch while the other two will not. If they pick the peg that catches, they win. No matter how hard they try they can’t find it. Even though you keep making it easier and giving them tips, they always fail. Of course, the secret lies in the fact that you have total control of whether the spectator wins or loses so you can present the routine anyway you like. |
