Meir’s Muses
MyMagic eNewsletter #1,224
August 11, 2024
My original plan was to introduce you to one of my new releases. But the good news, for me anyway, is that all were sold-out, or nearly sold-out. I was able to get some new stuff on the plane with me, and also have bigger and heavier stuff shipped to the warehouse.
In the meantime, I wanted to introduce you to one new item, one item that is available again (after a 7-year hiatus) and a couple of items that are back in stock.
►Omni Air:
The routine: You take out your deck of cards and slide the cellophane off about a third of the way down the card box. There is a hole clearly cut through the middle of the cellophane. You then take your marker out and put it through the hole while explaining to your audience that what they are seeing is impossible. Remove the marker from the hole and offer it to your spectator, and ask them to replace it.
When they try to put the marker through the cellophane, they discover that it can’t go through. It’s as though an invisible force is preventing the marker from passing through the hole. That’s when you lift the card box the rest of the way out of the cellophane to reveal the air inside it has crystalized into a solid block of glass.
Put the cellophane back on the deck and then you can pull a complete deck of cards out of the box to prove that the glass wasn’t hiding in there and start performing your favorite card tricks.

►Vegas SvenPad® Routine:
This is a Las Vegas themed SvenPad® that is made to look identical to the ones you find sold at most gift shops in Las Vegas. Like all SvenPads it is ingeniously constructed to force anything you like.
If you watch the trailer you will see Meir demonstrate his basic routine. It fits this edition of the SvenPad® like a glove. In addition to the Vegas SvenPad® you will also get a bonus instructional sheet with Meir’s routine. You will need to supply your own poker chip, which can be easily found on eBay.

►Bent, Erased & Spiked:
Both hobbyist and professional magicians are always looking for a quick piece of magic that can be easily carried with them and performed at a moment’s notice.
This package contains three of those routines.
Another great thing that many of those magicians are aware of is that magic routines that end with an impossible object that is also examinable always get great reactions.
All three of these routines end that way.
Coin magic specialists are often in pursuit of one-coin routines that are easy to follow and even easier for audiences to describe.
All three of these routines are simple to follow, one-phase, one-coin routines.

►OUR RECENT RELEASE:
►Heartz:
Although there are many possibilities for these props, the basic routine begins by showing both your hands empty and using them to form a heart, which is the international symbol for love.
In the most visual and impossible way a red sponge heart appears between your fingertips!
You then introduce a pen and hold it behind the heart forming the famous cupid’s arrow image.
You hand the arrow to your friend and have them tap your hand which splits the sponge heart into two hearts.
Explaining that two hearts beat as one you place one heart in your hand and the other in your friends’. Your friend taps your hand with the arrow (pen) and then taps theirs. Magically your heart vanishes and appears in their hand proving that the magic of love is alive and well. Everything is now examinable.

►BACK IN STOCK:
I added these two items to the website a few days ago and most are already gone to magicians who signed up for notifications.
►OMG Opener:
You begin by giving the deck a real riffle shuffle. You then mix the cards face up and face down and miraculously all the cards are now facing the same way.
The deck is now cut into four packets and the top card of each packet is shown to be an ace.
When the four packets are turned face up the four matching kings are shown.
For the finale the packets are spread to show that all the cards are now separated by suite and are in ace to king order.

►Rainbow Phantom Card:
This is one of the most ingenious technologies that has been applied to magic. Just received many new force cards.
My favorite versions are the Black Rainbow Phantom Card and the Mirror Rainbow Phantom Card. Both work the same way. The card is examinable, but when photographed, the photograph in the spectator’s smart phone appears to have turned into the spectator’s selection.
The strongest and most important part of all the routines is that you are using the spectator’s phone to take the pictures. The spectator’s face is always framed with the reveal.
