Below you will find the latest in the Kirigami line of cards that will continue to be released throughout next year. This one is a three-dimensional Burr puzzle that is truly an impossible object you can display or give away as gifts. It is also much easier to learn (only took me one try) how to make as opposed to the Infinity Link (which I also received another shipment of below).
I also just received a third shipment of the Impossibilia book that keeps selling out. There is a small section in the book about Kirigami, so I sent a copy to Sam Sléibhín who is the obsessive brain behind this line, and he decided that it would be a good idea to place these impossible Kirigami objects inside bottles (a la Harry Eng: HERE and HERE).
They must be partially built outside and assembled inside. It requires an insane amount of patience to make one of these impossible bottles and we are not teaching how to do that, but I thought you might like to see one.
I think you will like making these Burr Kirigamis, and you will be surprised at how people react to them. They are all made of Bicycle cards and are precision micro-perforated which take away hours of work if you want to cut them yourself. These can be made while people are watching in around a minute. I already made a bunch.
►Three Burr Kirigami Cards:
A Burr puzzle is a 3D puzzle that is usually made of wood or metal pieces that have notches that interlock to create a unique object. Kirigami is a category of Origami where cuts are allowed along with the folds.
This unique topological object combines both Burr and Kirigami technology to create a three-card interlocking sculpture where the cards are going through each other in an impossible way.
You get a deck of the three necessary cards to allow you to interlock them in a specific way. They can be assembled in front of your friends and given out as memorable souvenirs that they can show their friends and speak about what you made for them.

►Infinity Link:
The Infinity Link Card is a topological, impossible object made from a Bicycle playing card. Once the impossible object is made you can then borrow a finger ring and link it to the card, turning it into a puzzle.
All previously taught impossible playing cards that use Kirigami (Origami folds that use cuts to the paper) were difficult to make because you must use scissors and knives to make them, which was time consuming and inaccurate.
This is a major innovation in this process since each card was micro-perforated, which allows you to make it quickly and in front of your friends.

►Impossibilia:
This coffee-table book studies the genesis, history, development, and modern-day mania surrounding objects that interrupt the logical mind and confound the senses. These impossible objects he has dubbed impossiblia.
Readers will journey through the lands and minds of great artists, puzzle makers, ship-in-bottle builders, optical illusion designers, craftsmen, magicians, and creative problem solvers. From the work and methods of M.C. Escher to the godfather of impossible bottles, Harry Eng, Impossiblia traces the origins of this super-secret and wildly popular subculture in a way no author has before.

►Flamenco:
Flamenco is the long-awaited sequel to Juan Tamariz’s Sonata and Mnemonica, and the third volume in his Bewitched Music series. Filling its pages are central pieces of the Tamariz repertoire: tricks and routines that have been honed and perfected over decades.
Flamenco presents a variety of material that includes new effects with cards, coins, color-changing knives and interactive pieces for live and broadcast performances.

►eBay Auctions:
I overloaded my eBay auctions and stores, and listing fees have kicked into place.
So, I decided to slow down a little. I only listed a few very nice autographed books whose auctions will be expiring on Sunday, and plan to add a few more on Sundays while continuing to list pamphlets during the week.
Here is a photo of an autographed copy of Frank Garcia’s Million Dollar Card Secrets that expires tomorrow.

Stay happy, Meir
PS: Sam, who lives in Arizona convinced a local gift shop to sell these assembled Kirigami cards which he puts in clear displays, and I understand that they are selling well.
