MyMagic eNewsletter #610
April 22, 2017
Firstly, I want to thank all of you who purchased the Mastermind deck last week and let me know that you enjoyed the way I incorporated Alexa into the trailer. The deck immediately sold-out but I was able to get a couple of dozen more in all four varieties.

Several readers of this email/newsletter said the same thing to me at the recent Penguin Expos, they said that they enjoy reading them because of my enthusiasm. I thought about that because I never thought of myself as enthusiastic.
Upon reflection though I do like to find new magic, play with it, customize it and show it to my friends. I probably buy more new magic to mess with than most of you. Although I don’t really look for anything to add to my formal close-up or stand-up shows I do look for stuff to mess with and enjoy sharing it.
So, during the last Expo I was sitting at the bar with Magick Balay and Chris Beason and showed them my Supersized KFC Coins (because I perform it to anyone with a pulse, did I mention I love that trick?). After I was done Chris performed Bently for me. I loved it. Thought it was great and the first thing in the morning, as soon as I got to the hotel I bought one, making the first purchase of the day.
Pictured here is the carrying case I made out of a playing card for the paperclips and I now carry this with me wherever I go (It fits perfectly into my Card & Coin Pouch). I am basically doing the routine taught on the video except that at the end I am using the break ending and letting the small end of the clip spin around between my index finger and thumb before falling on the table.
It is the best and most practical metal bending effect I have ever come across. I like it and if you don’t already have one you should get it. You won’t be sorry.

This week’s digital streaming release is volume #3 of Michael Skinner’s Professional Close-Up Magic video series.
I left many full performances of his routines including the much talked about Ball & Vase routine and his Mona Lisa routine on the video trailer for you to watch. I also left his super-clean version of the Open Prediction plot on the trailer. I should also mention that the introductory sale price will end next Thursday.

Over the past week, I was able to re-stock some of the items I have been getting emails about. If you were interested in; Steve Gore & Gregory Wilson’s Casino Con, Jeff Copeland’s The Traveler, Paul Hallas’ Across The Void, or Marcelo Insua’s TUC Poker Chip Set, they are back and I have the ads and links for them below.
I will be spending most of the following week in Batavia at Obie’s 4F convention and I decided to take a small booth this time (which I almost never do, because I rather socialize than work).
My plan is to once again perform the Supersized KFC Coins to everyone there. Then on May 20 and 21 I will be displaying at the Penguin Expos in Warwick, Rhode Island and Boston, Massachusetts. Hope to see some of you there, and don’t forget to ask me about the Supersized KFC Coins!
Until next time,
Meir
P.S: Because many of you asked I made many of the back issues of this newsletter available online. The archive can be found: HERE.
