The Houdini Broken Wand Ceremony is held annually by the Society Of American Magicians Parent Assembly of New York City at Houdini’s gravesite. He was a supporter and president of the society at the time of his death on October 31, 1926 at 1:26pm, he was buried the next day at the Machpelah Cemetery in Queens, New York. The annual tradition continues with members, magicians and visitors who gather to remember him and his contributions to the art of magic.
