Meir’s Muses
MyMagic eNewsletter #945

I have results from last week’s apparel test. The good news is that the purchasers of the shirts were, on average, one size smaller than than pre-pandemic sizes. Which means that I have plenty of 2X and 3X shirts available…
For those who asked. Martin Lewis’ One To Six Spot Card (HERE) and Greg Gleason’s Feather Thru Coin (HERE) should be back in stock in a few days.
Today I am introducing you to another routine by Todd Karr, unlike the previous two which were based on comedy and mentalism this one is an organic card revelation.
It uses ice cubes in the shape of card suits to reveal selected cards. There are many ways to implement those. Some are discussed in the trailer: WATCH
►Ice Pack:
After a spectator selects a card, you can rub your finger on the condensation of their glass or carefully pour a few drops of water into your palm, you then cup your hands together, blow into your fist and show that the water has turned into ice cubes.
The surprise comes when you drop the cubes on a napkin or plate and the cubes appear to reveal the identity of the selected card. For example, if they selected the Three of Diamonds you reveal three diamond shaped ice cubes.
The possibilities for possible card reveals are limitless. You can even make the cubes different colors or use Jell-O cubes instead of ice cubes.

►MyMagic T-Shirt:
This black, high-quality, T-Shirt features the MyMagic logo with the missing finger. It was re-designed by Akemi Yoshida to replace the company name around the hand with the missing finger… with a magical band.
Even though the letters MYMAGIC appear on the bottom, only magicians would associate it with Meir Yedid. Everyone else will assume it has to do with you being a magician. When they ask you why the hand on the shirt is missing a finger… It gives you the perfect opportunity to show them some finger magic.

David Roth’s Eraser Coin Tips:
As Harvey Leeds continues to use the Eraser Coin, his preferred routine turns out to be a do as I do presentation. He tosses a bunch of coins on the table which includes a half dollar. A spectator takes it while he uses the Eraser Coin. Instead of an Eraser they both do the erasures using whatever utensil is handy.

Stay happy, Meir
PS: Just realized that when you outgrow the two items above, they won’t end up in your “magic drawer” but in your closet and your refrigerator. Is that a selling point?
