I often mention how much I like Martin Lewis’ magic and thinking. If anyone else would have created, Sidewalk Shuffle, Cardiographic, or Technicolor Prediction we would refer to them as geniuses.

Martin invented all three of those plus dozens of other ingenious routines, tricks, and methods. He spent the last few years working on a book full of his best magic. Just received a case of those books and have a few of the deluxe collectors’ editions on order.

    â–şMaking Magic:

Martin Lewis created many routines that are regularly used by the most popular magicians and mentalists. His creative approach to entertaining magic is applied to close-up, parlor, and stage magic with a special interest in practical stand-up magic. In this legacy book Martin selected his of sixty favorite routines to teach in full detail.

He explained that “These are not pipe dreams but practical solutions to strong effects. Magic that has rewarded me with repeat bookings time and time again. While the majority of the book is on Parlor and Stage, there are still plenty of stunning close-up effects described. Including the details of my Close-Up Cardiographic. Making Magic contains material from my notebooks, lectures, magazine articles, videos, and marketed tricks. Since my magic is constantly evolving everything has been re-written to bring it all up to date.”

    â–şMaking Magic Special Edition:

Since this book is basically Martin’s life work, he decided to also print a Special Edition. Although the contents in both books are the same, he decided to make a limited number (166) of leather-bound sets, which are numbered and signed, with a tipped in colorized front piece and a slip case.

There is a delay in getting the custom-made slip cases so the special edition will not be ready to ship until the end of August or early September. I have a limited number of those editions coming so if you want me to hold one for you the price is: $175 postpaid in the US or $225 postpaid everywhere else.

Just send me an email and I will send you a PayPal invoice for you to pay in advance and it will be shipped to you as soon as I get them. Best email address is: meir@mymagic.com

    â–şRainbow Matrix:

As Mike explains, “Using Rainbow Coins, I found that the audience appreciated the effect tremendously more, since they could follow each color step by step from one location to another. …the different surprise endings make these effects so unusual, baffling, and very entertaining.”

Although Mike uses stickers to color the coins, there are many other ways to color coins or even use Poker Chips.

Routines taught: Rainbow Monte Reverse Matrix #1, Rainbow Coin Matrix With Jumbo Kicker Surprise, One Color Reverse Surprise Color Change, Rainbow Coin Reverse Matrix With Surprise Color Change, Triple Reverse Matrix #2, and Rainbow Coins Transposition With Purse.

I am once again performing, my 30-minute stage act, in Jim Spinnato’s Stand-Up Comedy Magic Show at Comix, inside the second largest casino in the United States: The Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.

Show is on Sunday August 7 at 4pm. Tickets available: HERE

    Stay happy, Meir

PS: The FISM Grand Prix winners are: Laurent Piron for stage and Simon Coronel for close-up. The 2025 FISM will be in Italy and there is a very strong possibility that the 2028 FISM will come to Las Vegas.
