Sad to report that Mel Stover (Melville Edward Stover) did not make it. He died on Saturday Mar. 27 while at the hospital. Born in 1912 in Winnipeg, Canada, he was a frequent contributor of magic ideas and routines, in most if not all magic magazines, over the years. The puzzles, optical illusions and mind games he has created will continue to baffle us for centuries to come. He will be missed. For more information read yesterdays news.(3/28)

A source close to the upcoming David Blaine special explained why it will air at 10pm, “It turns out that ABC wants to pull some serious ratings with this special. The 10pm on Wednesday time slot is one of the most-watched each week (ER, 20/20, etc.), so ABC chose to knock out 20/20 on April 14, and replace it with the Blaine special.” To read what ABC-TV wrote in promoting this special click: HERE.(3/28)
