The New Shanghai Circus which has been touring the world since 1951 opens in New York City this weekend at the New Victory Theater (209 W. 42nd St.) and will run through May 23. In addition to 2,500 years of Chinese culture and circus tradition the show features a female magician who places a girl inside a large clock and then puts 20-30 swords through it.
