Blaine is in London to work on a secret project he hopes will be the crowning glory of his career. This will happen in a football stadium in London in late 2016. Is it another stunt? “No, an event. It is different from anything I have ever done, but combines everything. It will make sense out of everything I have spent my career working toward. If it works.” David Blaine is 40 now and afraid of becoming complacent. “The hunger dies. That hunger, that curiosity, that desire that creates the ultimate passion to do something new.”

Magic Gala Show, South Tyneside International Magic - Shields Gazette
American mind-reading couple The Evasons closed the night. Jeff and Tessa Evason left everyone completely gobsmacked as they delved into minds, pulling out the information they needed. It’s absolutely impossible to explain how they did what they did. Tessa, on stage with her eyes closed and at times blindfolded, would say the name of the person Jeff pointed out in the audience, or she’d name an object somebody pulled out of their pocket. She could also tell you a number saved in your phone and who it would call, the serial number on a £10 note, or your full name as printed on your driving license. The couple were nothing short of amazing and it’s hard to wrap your head around the things they did. The entire audience was left scratching their heads.

The day that changed Paul Daniels' life...
When I was 11, in the summer holidays just before I went to grammar school, I came across a book that would change my life. I was an avid reader and discovered an old tome on Victorian pastimes which covered lots of subjects, and in one chapter, magic tricks. I read it carefully, as it contained an intriguing mathematical magic trick. Laboriously I copied it out by hand, practised it a few times then showed it to my family, who were quite impressed.

Teller Wins Lawsuit Over Copied Magic Trick Performance
Teller is widely known as a great magician, but he has just pulled off a feat that is without equal among his peers. He has prevailed in a lawsuit against another magician who put up a copycat illusion on YouTube. Technically speaking, magic tricks aren't copyrightable. In a ruling by a Nevada federal court on Thursday, U.S. District Judge James Mahan states that explicitly. What is protectable under copyright law is pantomimes, the art of conveying emotions, actions and feelings by gestures. The theatrical medium where magicians work has some of the flavor of pantomimes, and Teller has used it to his advantage.
