Magician David Copperfield Has Trademarked "DC" Comics
In August of this year, illusionist David Copperfield registered for trademark protection for the letters “DC” as they appear in the logo below. Not such a big deal, EXCEPT: as part of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s requirements for applying for a trademark, you have to specify what your business is all about. Copperfield’s registration document, while lengthy and obviously over-inclusive, contains one intended use that may raise a few eyebrows: comic books.

Penn Jillette is the one that speaks; Teller is the one that doesn’t. That’s how it’s gone for years with the magicians and professional debunkers. In truth Teller has spoken publically a couple times, including a bit at the end of their 1989 film “Penn & Teller Get Killed.” And in person, of course, Teller can speak — eloquently, verbosely, engagingly. With the documentary “Tim’s Vermeer,” he and Jillette observe as inventor Tim Jenison tries to prove a theory raised by the artist David Hockney and Charles M. Falco: that post-Renaissance artists, notably the artist Johannes Vermeer, may have used optics to help create their photo-realistic paintings.

'Criss Angel BeLIEve' Bonus: Meet Krystyn Lambert - Starpulse.com
Let's get the obvious part out of the way first: Krystyn is a woman. A ridiculously good-looking woman. The only woman on the magic team, in fact. But none of that is truly relevant. She's part of Team Angel because she's earned the right to be there. In Tuesday's episode, we saw her perform two demonstrations straight out of Criss's BeLIEve live show. Able to escape a straightjacket in midair and handle some intense pyrotechnics, she is definitely not just a pretty face...
