Renowned magician to appear twice in area
Renowned magician Jason Andrews will be performing at the Historic Grand Theatre in Salem at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Andrews also is appearing at the Lincoln City Cultural Center in Lincoln City tonight. The 25-year-old magician will show Oregon audiences his tricks during his visit. He has spent the past two years earning international fame zipping through Japan, England, China, Mexico and Canada. He is known to many American fans of magic from his 2010 television appearance on “America’s Got Talent.”

Belmont World Film's Family Film Festival presents a magical weekend - Wicked Local
Festivities begin on “Magic Friday,” Nov. 16 with the New England premiere of The Magicians from the Netherlands at 4:45 p.m., in which eight year-old Ben and his father learn magic from an old master and become fascinated by a disappearance trick. At 7:00 p.m. is documentary Make Believe, which follows six of the world’s best young magicians as they compete for the title of Teen World Champion. Producer Steve Klein will be in attendance. Chicago magician Bill Cook, featured in Make Believe will perform live magic shows before and after both films. The evening will also feature complimentary ice creams treats from Moozy’s of Belmont at both screenings.
