Balloon sculptor entertains students, parents - Daily Eastern News
The performance began with a few minor glitches, the most noticeable being the trouble with the sound system. Cassidy was able to improvise a few magic tricks, such as making a student pick a card, and then raising the card from the deck, in order to stall time. Once the sound system was figured out, Cassidy’s performance went on smoothly, and Cassidy immediately went to the crowd for help, a recurrent trend in the rest of his routine.

Intel joins forces with David Blaine for new illusion - T3
Not to worry if you can't make it to New York though, as Intel will be streaming the event live. That way, audiences in London, Bejing, Tokyo and Sydney will also have a chance to dole out some electro-punishment. The chip manufacturer will even allow the public to communicate with Blaine through Ultrabook satellite stations situated around a screen at these live venues. For us here in the UK, that venue will be held at the Truman Brewery in London's East End....

Travel with the Millionaires' Magician Steve Cohen - Travel News
To give everybody an idea of Lost Magic, this isn’t just Steve standing up and doing tricks. We’re actually taking a trip. We’re taking the audience all around the world to show them where tricks that have not been done in dozens, decades, and in some cases a few hundred years, were once performed, and you’re doing them again. Steve Cohen: Exactly. Some of these illusions have never been performed, but because they are so legendary we have figured out ways to make them come back to life....

Meet Israel's head magician - ISRAEL21c
Dahlia Pelled takes two ordinary rubber bands and stretches one with her fingers. Then she scrunches up the second band and “melts” it into the first until they become one, not more than four inches in front of your eyes. Though the president of the Israeli Society of Magicians has many other neat tricks up her sleeve, rubber-band sleight of hand is her trademark. Photographs on the walls of her Givatayim office overlooking the Tel Aviv skyline show her doing magic for former US President Bill Clinton, former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, Vice Presidents Joe Biden and Al Gore, and Israeli Prime Ministers Binyamin Netanyahu and Ehud Olmert...

David Blaine 'Electrified' 2012: Street magician explains latest stunt - Zap2it.com
To call David Blaine a street magician at this point is a major oversimplification -- he's also a daredevil, an illusionist, and an all-around crazy lunatic. He's been buried alive, frozen in a block of ice, submerged underwater for eight days, starved for 44 days -- the list goes on. He now has a daughter, so his latest stunt is considerably less dangerous than previous displays...

Magician David Blaine readies for million-volt stunt in New York
Magician David Blaine climbed atop a wobbling platform above a high-voltage Tesla coil in a tent on a Manhattan pier on Tuesday, dressed in a 20-pound chain-mail suit, and proceeded to shoot purplish arcs of lightning out of his hands and the top of his head. The event - an unusual sort of press conference at which journalists were asked to stop their ears with foam plugs - was a preview of a stunt he will undertake starting on Friday, when he plans to stand on a 20-foot-high platform for 72 hours without food amid an artificial lightning storm crackling between low-current, million-volt Tesla coils...
