Magician performs at Hartford Fair for the young and the young at... - The Newark Advocate
The magician does not make elephants disappear or create fantastic illusions. Instead, Dave Lehman, of Newark, offers old-fashioned fun, combining his comic timing with vaudeville gags and jokes to make it an entertaining show for all ages. But what is most amazing about his show, and what a lot of people don't know, is that Lehman is legally blind. Especially in an outdoor show, he has trouble seeing people's faces....

Elephant Room: Theatre Review - Hollywood Reporter
Three haplessly uncool magicians – played by show creators Trey Lyford, Geoff Sobelle and Steve Cuiffo – inform the audience that we are all present, set notwithstanding, at their actual secret “clubhouse” somewhere in Paterson, New Jersey. All of them, under the stage names Louie Magic, Daryl Hannah and Dennis Diamond, are coiffed and clothed as refugees from among the worst fashion nightmares of the 1970s. They embark on a 90-minute performance art piece in the guise of a magic show. Or is it the other way around? Or does the confusion, or ambiguity, make any difference?...

You may have seen his magic act on KING 5’s “New Day” program or even in a viral video passed along through email or Facebook. But in King and Snohomish counties, a lot of people know 29-year-old magician Nash Fung from catching his performance at a company party or wedding. What makes Fung unique is that he develops his own magic. He doesn’t buy tricks from other magicians, so when you see Fung, you’re going to see tricks that you haven’t seen performed before.

"The Last Greatest Magician in the World: Howard Thurston Versus Houdini & the Battles of the American Wizards," by Jim Steinmeyer - CBS News
Jim Steinmeyer: I've worked with magicians throughout my career, and when I was a boy in Chicago, I'd actually known magicians who had been friends of Thurston. Still, he always seemed to remain a mysterious, guarded personality. It was difficult to get a sense of his performances or his career. Over the years, I gradually came to discover that his personality and experiences were a key to the mystery. Even more, his story -- what he chose to tell people as well as what he chose to conceal from the public -- is one of the great stories about American show business.

I've worked for magicians since the age of 22. What first got me into magic was working for a magician who's well-known in the magic world, Franz Harary. He's like the guy to go to for illusions. A good friend of mine worked for him, and he needed six girls for a three-month show in Atlantic City.
