What takes this show beyond being just a magic show (and there would be nothing wrong with it being just a magic show) is Drummond’s philosophical questioning about the existence of free will; whether we believe in fate or chance or in the volunteer’s case, science...

Rope trick leaves many spell-bound -
Magician Samraj on Sunday performed The great Indian Rope Trick at Marine Drive as part of the Coir Tech Expo organised by the Coir Board at Marine Drive. A large crowd gathered at the Marine Drive ground to see the ancient trick, rarely performed by magicians these days. Magician Samraj, dressed as a snake charmer, played his flute over a coiled rope, which climbed to a great height, dancing like a cobra. The assistant then climbed to the top of the rope and returned. The rope then returned to its original form.

The magician then shows the lawyer a series of scenes in which the son plays dangerous games involving romance and deception....

Mullica gives a decade of 'Red' - Branson Tri-Lakes news

In conversation with illusionist Franz Harary - Times of India
Throughout the conversation, Franz refers to himself as an illusionist. Ask him what the difference is between a magician and an illusionist, and he says, "The only difference is that an illusionist has better PR! But personally, more than a magician or an illusionist, I am a designer. I design my illusions. I consider myself an entertainer and I know that I create illusions of real magic. Music, sound effects, lights, videos, stage antics - all this comes together to create an imagery that seems unnatural. I know I'm not a healer and I will never make the mistake of thinking of myself as God or as the creator. I know all this is an illusion. Therefore, I just focus on my goal, which is to try and instill that sense of childlike wonder in our adult bodies."
